Integrated Design
CTM Design successfully integrated two corporate brands under one alpine style roof at this major highway destination in Revelstoke, BC. Located beside Highway 1, we had to consider high traffic volumes and parking restrictions for mixed vehicular access – from small vehicles to RV’s and towed trailers.
Featuring a gas bar for Shell Canada (our primary client) and a restaurant for Tim Horton’s (their tenant), we custom designed a 2,000 sq.ft standard convenience store with a 3,400 sq.ft. restaurant. Along with common internal access between tenant's suites and washroom facilities, we optimized the space usage and created effective site advertising and directional signage.
Designing around municipal guidelines that dictated an alpine architectural theme, we incorporated cultured Rundle stone, false beams, and made use of natural materials such as rough-sawn timber and a peaked roof. We also coordinated the municipal and provincial approvals that involved working closely with the BC Ministry of Transportation.
