The CTM Solution:
Through a close working relationship with our client Husky Energy, CTM prepared the complete design and engineering package for this highly detailed retail petroleum facility. Located within the heart of the Banff township and national park, extensive design consideration was given to every component of this complicated project. Surrounded by natural materials like native vegetation, rundle stone, and heavy timbers, both the interior and exterior of this development blend in wonderfully with its natural surroundings.
Special attention was given to all of Husky’s potential customers in Banff. Spacious fueling areas permitting ease of access for larger vehicles, convenience food, grocery and specialty items, quick food services by the adjoining A&W restaurant are the inclusive amenities that provide convenience, comfort, and innovative products packaged within this beautiful facility. Husky truly endorsed going “outside the box” on this project, by not only supporting the national park and the town’s alpine-themed design requirements but focusing on the specific needs of their local customers. The interior design at this location incorporated several new ideas, that went above and beyond their prototypical convenience store. New layout, new look, new products, and new amenities all intended to cater to their customers seeking the true “Banff” experience.
This project is a great example of design complementing Alberta’s natural beauty.
